03/01/07 SXSW Showcase for Virgin Records
Thanks to our friends at
MusicGorilla.com, we'll be playing another showcase during
SXSW
in Austin on Saturday, March 17 - this time we'll be playing a showcase for
Virgin Records. This will be our 3rd showcase for MusicGorilla.com and our
2nd consecutive SXSW appearance. We're looking forward to seeing and
networking with bands from around the world.

Night Lights"
It appears that a character on the NBC smash drama, "Friday Night Lights"that aired on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 was wearing our T-shirt sporting the
cover of our 3rd CD, "Take 3"! See below for more details!

There's a new show out on NBC (or soon to be out?) based on the movie, "Friday Night Lights" and the name of the TV show is also called, "Friday Night Lights" - well, apparently there's a character in this
TV show that likes to wear rock band T-shirts - and... well... on an upcoming
episode that character will be wearing one of OUR very own COMMON GROUND
T-shirts! No joke!
The nice folks at
MusicGorilla.com set it up for us. That character will be wearing a black
shirt with our "Take 3" CD cover on the front - Click

long or any other info but as soon as we know, we'll let you guys know!

For the second year in a row, we were
selected as "Rock
Band of the Year" and Steve was awarded AGAIN for "Recording Engineer of
the Year" at the Annual
M.A.C.T. Groovy Awards. Thanks to everyone associated with M.A.C.T. for these honors and

The wonderful world of Podcasting is taking
over. Listeners worldwide can listen, stream or download their favorite Podcast
and listen online, save it to their computer, burn it to a CD or transport
it to a portable device of your choice (iPod, etc). It's all the
rage...
There are these guys in New York who call themselves "Kevin"
& "boB" (if that is their real names?) and they have a podcast that
they simply call, "The
Schwagcast" and they've dedicated one of their entire Podcast
shows to US! That's right! You can read ALL about it
RIGHT HERE or you can download this FREE Podcast by clicking
HERE - (Just right click that link and click "Save Target As"
and save it to your computer). The show is about an hour long so the mp3
may take a little while to download depending on your connection
speed.

for "Original Music Act of the Year" and "Rock Band of the Year"

Welcome to the updated Common Ground website!

We're taking a break for the moment trying to figure out what we're going to do
after the departure of our long-term bass player and buddy, Chuck Williams.
